Agree with this. 5* troops are a level playing field. I’ve been running troop & trainers from HA for awhile

I run Gastille, Song, Ludwig, Grimsteel, Hreidmarr. For items I use mana potion, super mana potion, super antidote, tornado. I wait for a good board to pass wave 1 with all heroes intact. Probably takes 3 attempts. Once I'm on wave 2 I use the items I need and otherwise ghost tiles to use Grimsteel once or twice. When you go into wave 3 you want all supers charged. You might be able to wipe the first boss with supers so be careful to recharge your DD & EDD heroes before the 2nd boss. Usually on 2nd boss I've used all my items so it's all tile damage. I try and leave myself a cascade before beating 1st boss. It's a bit of luck and can take a few attempts to clear.

Had some good responses from alliance members and the forum here so I've added some detail for myself. I started a Hero Coach table and set some rules. AA's need to go to hero's that are not close to HC, and I have the ME's and lego troops to match. I'f I'm patient (as this game requires) I can HC Violet and Bernadette in the next 5 months and use the AA's on Astrid, Grovert, Silverpaw, and Clonk.

True, I hadn’t considered curse dmg or MM. maybe that elevates silverpaw I’m sitting on 3/70 diaochan for next hc but that’s a good idea too survivability was the only component I was thinking about and with that I had Astrid, silver, grovert, clonk earmarked. But I will say Omen is SO FUN I just want to use him everywhere

Here’s the game. 40 AA’s so I have to be choosy. As f2p they come pretty slowly so even silverpaw or clonk will be waiting if I take 4 others up to 2lb now. Who waits and who is the priority of this group?

Looking at taking her attack path for talent grid. Might as well make that little scratch she does turn into an itch

@HootingPirate I'm with you 30 x 5* heroes @ lvl 90 and I'm lvl 94. At this point AAs are scarce. I'm sitting on 30 AAs atm with Omen, Astrid, Lempi, & Violet Potts at 85 all good heroes who should go to 90 with my roster but I've also got Grovert, and Bernadette waiting to hit 3/70 so they aren't far away from 2lb. With SE I've ejected the rubbish and brought in Silverpaw. 7 candidates for 30 AAs. I' looking at my back catalogue and wondering why I 2lb Inari, Kemeny, Voidstar and Rocket back in the day. This actually is the space I think I'm encroaching on. I spend $50/yr but I'm afraid to get a meta hero knowing that my AAs could be gone tonight Instead of coin deals it's time for AA deals. If I remember the old gem spending thread of @ mrchief $2/AA was the best rate.

@BobTheSnark All colours have 1 hero in que so realistically these 3 heroes could see imminent lvling. That puts the VO a long way in the future for someone like Vai but a year flies by in this game honestly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Ray and milena are aldy 1lb so Vai would mean I have 3 magic heroes waiting for their eventual VO date. not terrible, at least it's something to use the VO on. However if I want more magic heroes with costumes Ulius is available in FS and VO and all that stuff. Some other reflections everyone's responses have brought up Liora is my 2nd 2025 hotm so she unlocks the elemental link. Reading Dvalin's card again... corrosive deals extra dmg against minions. I just finished aurorx specifically because he is anti-minion and there may be a 2nd wave of minions coming with construct minion cores. Eron, Hulda, GC all seem kind of vanilla to me with GC being the most interesting. Eron would join Daemon and Omen as red snipers who, while all doing something different, occupy the same control habitat and I don't think I need more. So after some great responses I'm sitting on keeping Liora, Dvalin and ?[Vai/Hulda/GC/Eron]? see how I feel in the morning

Glass costumes become available at VO in June. I can actually keep my heroes relevant now. Been stuck with toons for Viv, Magni and Kadilen. Santana has glass and those 4 are my only S1's with x3 costumes or better.

Looking to convert my second yellow troop and it just so happens I pulled astrid recently and she pairs with silverpaw from SE perfectly on troops. Silver and Astrid need to survive for their supers, what would be the better troop choice? Royal Sorcerer seems to be for survivability, 26% defence and -8% damage reduction. Mighty Monk seems to be for attack heroes, 25% attack but that 10% ailment resist is really nice. Leaning towards Royal Sorcerer for this use case. No other heroes overlap so nothing else to consider atm.

@KingJpwn https://empuzzled.com/hero-database type in your heroes and it’ll show you max power at 2lb. zekena is 1363 maxed. He’s dated, but he’s a titan specialist. check your heroes because you don’t want to waste time on old heroes. The game has come a long way in 8 years and a lot of heroes are worthless now

@KingJpwn you’ve got some good heroes. Finish song asap. Any hero in your case above 1450 tp might be worth keeping. You need depth. silverpaw looks like a great choice

The VO is another angle to consider for sure. Which hero has a costume coming in the next 6 months. Would be worth keeping

Keep Viv and Cristobal. Cristobal has costume so his stats are relevant for a long time. Viv is an evergreen hero and never ages. I know what you mean by getting her again later but that might be 6 months from now and then you'll have to start the lvling process anyway. Between last SE and this one I have summoned Leonidas, Richard, and Kadilen amongst 11 new 5*s heroes, that's surprisingly few S1 heroes imo. Viv is a 1:20 chance of the 20 S1 heroes, I considered that unlikely to reacquire, but those are odds you'll have to decide on.

Going to Silverpaw at 15. What 3 heroes are the most interesting and survive the ban hammer? (none of these would be top heroes in my roster, I'm looking for working men in the utility business to survive the coming layoffs) I'm leaning towards Hulda, Liora, and Chameleon
