  1. The two main considerations I have when choosing an SE hero (or FS too) are: does it improve my roster either by improving my damage dealing ability or by adding new abilities; do I already have family members to team it with? Family bonuses improve all the heroes in that family. A top-level hero at 50 souls likely would be an orphan on my roster. And yes, some families have family bonuses with one member (which makes zero sense to me).
  2. Thalassa's base for overheals and resists insanity, which is handy for those PITA Insanity wars. I don't see enough of an improvement to warrant the added mats to max her costume beyond 4/80. If I get Ariel's costume I will most likely max that (as in LB2).
  3. Heal plus mana boost is what makes her good. These days it's hard to keep her alive long enough though. I now use Thalassa with costume bonus for blue healer (isn't that a dog in Australia?) but I miss the mana boost.
  4. Ariel was my goto healer for everything for about six years. A bit dated now, mine is in need of a costume.
  5. This would be where I would land, getting one new hero every couple of years and having to carry those dupe 5* for all that time to do so. And to do that they would have to make the heroes significantly better than the 15-soul tier ones (and significantly better than what is on offer currently). I doubt that would happen, I can see them being incrementally better but not enough that I would save that long and forego what is available at 15, or even 5. I have drawn 15-soul heroes from half my SE draws as is.
  6. The biggest loss of shutting down the old forums was losing his posts. Rants and all . I did pdf copy the song collection. I should get them organized and re-upload here. Lot there from ole' sleepyhead too.
  7. I have Jolly too. Never even thought about using a 3*. Well done!
  8. Me neither. I just try to see if I can. I have SO many avatars sitting in my game and I have never changed it from Graymane. Can we trade these for platinum?
  9. Some of the new heroes have so many conditionals that I can't even read the text when I click on the opponent in a raid battle. It's microscopic. I swear some of them the text is like 2 pixels high.
  10. I've yet to complete it. I tried with Satinpementer, Vanya, Mortewitch, Vernon, Thalassa. First wave killed Vernon, second left rest in the red. Then it all went downhill from there. Boards did not help at all. I did not feel like trying over and over. Maybe next time I'll give Ludwig a try.
  11. My best heroes right now are in blue, so that is the colour that helps me the most. Which one most reliably shows up changes from day to day. Today so far I am getting swamped with yellow tiles. Yesterday they were nowhere to be found.
  12. If you can wait a few months Violet Potts will be eligible for Hero Coach in June and Bearnadette in July.
  13. I am not quite f2p but I essentially am when it comes to chasing heroes. I have made SE exchanges in the 15 and 20 tier levels. I would never be able to make a 50 soul exchange unless I saved up for a few years. As is I only exchange every 2-3 rounds. From my perspective, 50 is a paywall. Yet another event where non-spenders are baggage class.
  14. Welp, if they do go to 50 heroes for the top tier I can safely say I'll never be drawing from that lot.
  15. LOL so we just keep truckin', 21 and counting. Does anyone know who the stoppers are? Also, one win in the books. Who can edit the title?
  16. Lady Wooly was the only Springvale hero I ever used regularly. Still do in wars and W3K and where only 4* are allowed. Never was keen on any of the others.
  17. My favourite Springvale hero gets a costume! This little Lady was my primary yellow healer for a good few years.
  18. LOL thanks for the recovery there. Did that at least a baker's dozen times in last forum.
  19. Not one in ten knows what 6-7 means. Maybe not one in a million. I certainly don't
